Looking for a new member!

Alight. Julian and Nomar here. We’ve been working progressively on a few original songs, but we’ve found that we could really use input from a guitarist. Skill doesn’t matter; simply put, we’re looking for someone who enjoys our genre, and might try some radical techniques on the guitar. And by genre, we simply mean someone who enjoys a slightly obscure form of music such as Radiohead, as opposed to say, modern pop. Please inbox Julian if you are interested, or email nomarpagan@gmail.com.
PS: If you’re seriously contemplating whether to contact us, just wing it. Whats the worst that can happen?

Hey, everyone. Nick Parisi, our lead guitarist and vocalist, has decided to leave the band for personal reasons. Nomar and Julian wish him the best of luck in his new band, A Work In Progress. On another note, Julian and Nomar will continue to create beautiful music for all you fans out there. We will, however, be taking a momentary hiatus from performing in order to recollect ourselves. If you have any questions, leave a comment here. Thanks for your understanding.

Note that A Work In Progress will be replacing our slot at 4th Annual Rosebank Rocks gig so be sure to check them out!

We have a gig coming up!

It will be in Fort Wadsworth on August 4th for their annual Coast Guard Day event. Only a handful of our friends can be invited due to the fact that it’s mainly a Coast Guard families only event. We will have pictures and hopefully videos up a few hours after the gig occurs. There will be new covers played from the likes of blink-182, Nirvana, and maybe even The Who. Also, the same familiar songs will be played and even a brand new original! That’s right folks. Nick’s original song, yet to be given a name, will make it’s live debut at the Coast Guard Day gig.

Future gig(s):

I’ll shut up now xD

This week, we’ll be doing a practice or two to prepare for the gig. Note: The setlist will blow you away.

Anyways, to end this post here’s what Nick said about the gig:

To the Nomers,

by Nick Effin’ Parisi on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at 2:41am

Yelloooooo errbody! Nick speaking, and its pretty late but I felt like I should post on here since I don’t often. As you know, the spring fling is in our sights and its a very nerve-wracking thing for us, or at least me ;P BUT, hopefully you enjoy it and maybe it’ll be the first of many performances you see. A tip I’d like to share though.. is that when you listen to the songs we play at the gig.. Listen to them and remember the sounds you’re hearing. These songs are by artists that influence us and make all three of us different. Theres significant sound to these bands and artists, and by playing and hearing these songs we get a taste and an idea of how we wanna play, what we become, and a style everyone sinks deeper into. In a few simple words, it molds us into the musicians we aren’t yet. Just a few words I thought you all might be interested in.. -Nick ;J

Holas amigos!

Spring Fling

We’re preparing for our Spring Fling gig. We have 30 minutes to play, but we’re going to ask if we can play for an hour. We have a setlist that will blow your mind. It has originals and covers from bands such as Green Day, The Killers, Muse and many others. So come along and prepare to have your mind blown into a million little pieces 😀

Future Plans

Nick is fascinated by the idea of making money from playing gigs at The Cup and so am I. So over the summer expect some gigs there and other places.

Due to musical differences, Joe has left the band. He left this message on Facebook:

“Due to a difference in a music choice for the bands new sound that they want to go into and just started working on it last Sunday, I ( Joe ) am leaving the band. It was fun while it lasted and I’m looking to do other things still involving singing very soon . To the 3 Nomers still remaining good luck at Spring Fling.”

We would like to wish Joe the best of luck for any future musical pursuits. For those that keep asking, this was not personal. The four of us are good friends.

Also, we will still be playing at Spring Fling. We will have a new set of covers to premiere and several original songs. We hope to see you there! 😀
